Conor Henderson pens new arsenal deal


Arsenal have confirmed that Ireland u19 international Conor Henderson has signed a contract extension at the Emirates stadium.

The 19-year-old central midfield player has progressed through the junior ranks and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could give the player first team opportunities in the Carling Cup this season.

Henderson was handed his first professional contract with the gunners in 2008, with the left footed central player instantly impressing for Steve Bould's young Gunners.

Yet to make a senior appearance for the Emirates club, Henderson was involved with the Arsenal squad at the end of last term for the trip to Wigan and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger ncluded Henderson in his pre-season training camp in Austria.


"Just to be included was massive for me, I was so happy to be going with the squad," Henderson said on his inclusion at the time.
